House Rules & Community Standards

Nature of Agreement
This is a Shared Housing Agreement for Room and Board services only. It is NOT a lease and does not create a Landlord-Tenant relationship under standard residential tenancy laws due to the transitional/supportive nature of the program. Residents are participants in a supportive housing program.
!Zero Tolerance Policy
- Alcohol & Drugs: Possession, use, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs on the property is strictly prohibited.
- Weapons: No firearms, knives (over 3 inches), or weapons of any kind.
- Violence: Assault, fighting, or threats of violence result in immediate discharge.
General Conduct
- Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily
- Language: No hate speech, racial slurs, or abusive language
- Dress Code: Residents must be fully dressed in common areas (shirt and shoes required)
Personal Care & Hygiene
- Bathing: Residents are expected to shower at least every other day
- Room Care: Beds must be made daily. No food or sugary drinks in bedrooms (water only)
- Cleanliness: Clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom immediately after use
Visitor Policy
- Hours: Visitors allowed 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM only
- Location: Visitors must stay in the Living Room or Porch. NO visitors in bedrooms
- Overnight Guests: Strictly prohibited
Medication Safety
- All medications must be kept in the secure office lockbox if required by your Care Plan
- Sharing or selling prescription medication is a crime and grounds for eviction
Liability & Release
Residents acknowledge and agree that First Light of the Eternal Flame Ministry, its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents are released from liability for:
- Personal injury or illness unrelated to provider negligence
- Theft or loss of personal property
- Accidents occurring on the premises
Medical Emergency Authorization
Residents authorize First Light to seek emergency medical treatment in the event of an accident or illness if the resident is unable to consent. Residents agree to be financially responsible for any medical bills incurred (ambulance, ER, etc.).
Term & Termination
Term: Month-to-Month
Termination by Resident: 30 days written notice required
Termination by Provider:
- Immediate: For violence, weapons possession, drug distribution, or gross safety violations
- 3-Day Notice: For non-payment or repeated rule violations
